Sant Rohidas Leather Industries and Charmakar Development Corporation Ltd. (LIDCOM ) was established on 1st May, 1974. An authorised Share Capital of Rs. 5 Crores which was increased to Rs.50 Crores as per G.R.No.LID-1097/13154/SCP-2, dated 10/3/1998. The current paid up capital of LIDCOM as on 31/3/2007 stands at Rs.73.21 Crores. State Govt. participation in the Share Capital is 100%. As per Govt.of Maharashtra Resolution No.LID/1095/6461/lND-5,dated 24.6.96, LIDCOM has been brought under the control of Social Welfare,Cultural Affairs and Sports Department from Industries Department. the said decision was taken in order to give financial assistance to the community which is engaged in development of Leather Industry.
